Paul Hannaby - Wood turner

Paul is a woodturner, with over 25 years experience, he is also a tutor and an author. He produces a wide range of turned items, mainly from wood but he also incorporates other materials such as stone, metals, resin and paint

Paul uses many different species of wood for turning. He prefers to use locally grown wood where possible.  He also uses non-native wood for specific applications obtained from managed resources. The main focus is on artistic or creative woodturning. Wood is the material of choice both for its unique characteristics and because of its endless variations in appearance and character. Wood is not only the raw material but also the inspiration for many of the pieces produced.
