Mark Bayley Jewellery

Mark Brayley Jewellery

Mark Brayley held a fascination with being able to form figures and animals at an early age, initially carving in candle wax and also painting miniatures on cigarette packets. He started work in the jewellery quarter in Birmingham, firstly as an apprentice and then specialising in diamond setting, before taking the leap and becoming a model maker and miniature sculptor, which was where his interest and skill lay.
He worked for many renowned and recognised names, including Terry Pratchett, Theo Fennell and Faberge St Petersburg, making their commemorative eggs as well as commemorative pieces for the military.
Mark's work is extremely varied but always meticulously detailed. It ranges from ornate and gothic to figures and portraits to mythological and imaginative.

When doing his own designs, Mark has an eclectic repertoire, choosing subjects that fascinate him.

Mark has been invited as a guest tutor at various establishments, including the School of Jewellery in Birmingham, and Kilkenny College. He still enjoys teaching on an individual basis in his studio in Malvern.
